Phil Langley

Chief Executive Officer**

Phil is a strong commercial visionary with an outstanding track record in the structuring, management and development of successful commercial businesses.

Responsible for the strategic development and commercial management of the group, his number one priority is customer service delivery which is backed by the commitment that runs through the heart of MAC, its people and everything we do; top quality, on time, every time with the key objective of delivering ‘an outstanding customer service experience’.

Phil was previously CEO of Plus Business (UK based) who provide equity funding and support services to small and medium size enterprises.

Prior to this he was managing director of Premier Watercoolers (UK based), where he started the business from scratch in 2002 and built it up to become the most successful privately owned business in its sector. In 2010 the business was sold to a large corporate group delivering significant strategic value to the acquirer and a strong return to the Premier shareholders. He has also held senior roles in Well Well Well and ARAMARK.

Married to Michele, he has three sons and lives in Mindarie. His interests include music, cars, golf and travel.

Michael Knowles

Chief Operating Officer**

Michael co-founded MAC with Colin in 2007. Both a licensed Real Estate Agent and licensed Valuer, he is a highly experienced property professional having commenced his career after completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in property.

Michael has more than 22 years experience in property, holding positions in companies such as CB Richard Ellis, Knight Frank and Landcorp. His diverse property experience has covered most areas of the industry in particular, valuation and consultancy, sales and marketing, asset management and project management, culminating in his role as Projects Director with Mirvac Fini.

In 2001 Michael went on to own and operate his own agency and consulting practice undertaking the project management for a number of client property developments.

Over his career, Michael has established a sound understanding and a proficient track record in the delivery of residential and commercial property developments of all types and complexity.

He is married to Anita, has a son and a daughter and lives in Mount Hawthorn. His interests include, music, playing the drums and golf.

John Cullum

Director (Non-Exec)*

After graduating with an MA Honours degree from St Andrews University, John spent 14 years working for Ford Motor Company. His career with Ford included a two year assignment in Detroit and serving as Director of Finance with Ford Motor Credit Company.

In 1982 he joined PHH Europe where he progressed to become Chief Executive of the £2 billion turnover vehicle management services company. He helped steer the ultimate sale of the company’s European operations to BNP Paribas in 2002.

John moved to Bath in 1998 and in 2003 took early retirement to serve in various roles in the private, public and voluntary sectors.

He is currently Chairman of JBP Public Relations, The Office Coffee Co. and his son, Jamie Cullum’s, music business. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and the RSA, and is past Chair of the CBI South West Region and Premier Watercoolers.

In the public sector, he has chaired the New Swindon (Urban Regeneration) Company and the Wiltshire & Swindon Economic Partnership Forum.

In the voluntary sector, John is Chairman of the Royal United Hospital Bath’s “Forever Friends Appeal” and a Trustee of Quartet Social Community Foundation. He is also Chairman of Bath Festivals Trust and a Patron of Wiltshire Music Centre.

John was High Sheriff of Somerset for 2011/12 where he now serves as a Trustee of Somerset Crimebeat, the youth crime prevention charity.

His interests include music, various sports, literature and a vintage wireless collection.

Chris Reaney

Commercial Manager**

Chris is responsible for the commercial management, accounting and reporting functions of the Group. He is also Company Secretary for all group companies.

Chris is both a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Prior to joining MAC in mid 2013 he was a Finance Manager at Bankwest managing the expense base of the entire branch network, mobile banking managers and online areas.

Chris started his career in accounting practice in the UK working with clients over a diverse range of industries, from preparing annual financial statements and tax returns to audits of large companies.

Chris is married to Rebecca and lives in Connolly. In his spare time he likes to run (having competed in a marathon and half marathons), play golf and travel.
